GIGANTIC ROVERINEInquiries

The work continues.

[The practice]

Gigantic Roverine is an advisory and stewardship practice for artists, estates, and collections. We help plan for the future of an artist’s work and manage the responsibilities that accompany it. Our practice brings together succession, governance, rights, collections, archives, and institutional relationships, connecting immediate decisions with the resources and people needed to sustain the work. Whether clarifying an artist’s intentions or helping a family understand an inherited collection, we establish a basis for its care, study, and public life.

Advisory

An artist’s intentions. A lasting structure.

Gigantic Roverine helps artists and those responsible for their work plan for what comes next. We clarify intentions, identify priorities, and establish who will make decisions about ownership, representation, and access. Our advisory work encompasses succession and estate readiness, governance, collection and disposition strategy, rights, and institutional relationships. Working alongside legal, financial, and tax advisors, we bring these considerations into a practical plan: what should remain together, what might enter an institution, and what needs to be in place before responsibility passes to others.

Stewardship

Continuity across decisions, relationships, and time.

Gigantic Roverine provides ongoing stewardship for artists, estates, trusts, and foundations. We coordinate the people and decisions involved in caring for the work, from families and trustees to galleries, museums, scholars, and publishers. This may mean reviewing an exhibition request, coordinating permissions, overseeing a project, or helping resolve competing priorities. Each decision is considered in relation to the artist’s intentions, existing commitments, and available resources. As circumstances change, we maintain the records and relationships that allow those responsible for the work to act with confidence.

Collections & Archives

Not simply documentation. Institutional memory.

Gigantic Roverine organizes collections and archives so that the work and its history can be understood and used. We connect objects with provenance, exhibition and publication histories, correspondence, images, and rights information, identifying gaps and establishing clear, maintainable records. The aim is to make information useful to the people who need it: those caring for a collection, responding to a loan request, preparing a publication, or pursuing research. We build systems that others can continue, preserving both the evidence and the context behind it.

Projects

Scholarship, access, and institutional engagement.

Gigantic Roverine develops and oversees projects that bring an artist’s work into new conversations. These include exhibitions, publications, catalogue raisonnés, research initiatives, digital resources, and museum and university partnerships. We help define the purpose and scope, assemble the right collaborators, and coordinate the records, rights, and resources each project requires. Our role extends from initial planning through completion, with attention to what follows: how research will remain accessible, how relationships will be maintained, and how the project can support further study and engagement.
